December 10, 1998Ithaca, New York—Marking its fourteenth year as a Micros-authorized system integrator, The CBORD Group, Inc., is ready to roll out the Micros state-of-the-art point of sale system, the 3700, as part of the OmniACCESS cashless and campus-wide systems. Headquartered in Ithaca, New York, The CBORD Group is the leading supplier of cashless and campus-wide ID systems with close to 500 sites across the United States and Canada.
The PC-based Micros 3700 offers advanced touchscreen features, powerful management tools and advanced reporting. The intuitive graphical user interface makes entering orders, managing card sale and/or cash sale checks, and processing payments easy to complete with a simple touch. The touchscreen features allow cashiers to easily perform split check, move and void functions.
The 3700 runs under Microsoft Windows NT as a true 32-bit application using a standard relational database.
Currently, the Micros 3700/OmniACCESS system interface is in beta testing at several institutions. Roll out of the integrated package will be in the first quarter of 1999.
