Ohio Dietetic Association Elects Jeff Ketcham as New President

For Immediate Release

May 12, 2000

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jeff Ketcham, MBA, RD, has been elected as the new president of the Ohio Dietetic Association. Ketcham, Nutrition Services Computer Support Manager at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, has been a CBORD client for more than eight years and has served on the company's User Advisory Council. He was installed as president at the Ohio Dietetic Association's annual meeting in April. Ketcham's one-year term will be effective July 1, 2000.

"I enjoy being involved in the organization in my state very much, it's really worthwhile," Ketcham said. "I see this as an interesting time for dietitians and dietetic technicians. A lot of people don't know what we do, so we have to educate people and support our legislative agendas if we want to move forward."

As president, Ketcham's primary responsibility will be to oversee the strategic objectives of the Ohio Dietetic Association and make sure those goals get carried out. "There are issues to be dealt with at both the state and national level," Ketcham explained. "One of the things we're working on in Ohio is passing a bill that would reimburse diabetics for various services, education and supplies."

Ketcham was elected president by 3,600 fellow members of the Ohio Dietetic Association. He has been a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the national organization, for more than twenty years. Ketcham has been state treasurer for the Ohio Dietetic Association twice and has served as an Ohio delegate to the ADA.
